Aura OMI Level 2G Daily Global Products (Beta)
(for advanced users)

This interface is designed for visualization and analysis of the Aura OMI Level 2G Daily Global Products (Beta). Users can generate plots (or ASCII Output in the future) for Lat-Lon Map, time series, and Hovmoller diagram. The animation is available only for Lat-Lon Map. Selecting here or the Help buttons will open a new window with detailed help. More details about the data are also available. Help Button

Data Description

Aura OMI Level 2G Daily Global Products (Beta)
(for advanced users)

The Aura-OMI level 2G daily gridded data products are generated by the NASA OMI science team by binning the original pixels from the level 2 data products (15 orbits per day; 13x24 km spatial resolution at nadir) into 0.25 x 0.25 degree global grids. Descriptions on each level 2 algorithm are available here. All information from the original pixels, including time, latitude, longitude, view angles, data quality flags, etc., which fall within a grid cell are preserved.

Users can custom tailor their own level 3 product using the OMI level 2G Giovanni by applying their own data filtering criteria. The data filtering options include: Recommended Quality, Snow/Ice Flag, View Zenith Angle, Solar Zenith Angle, Reflectivity/Cloud Fraction, Path Length Index and Ocean Glint Width. See the table for default settings for each data filtering option based on data product. The user defined level 3 product can be binned at the original or coarser resolution.
