ATDD at GES DISC does not archive all data from all A-Train instruments. It would not be possible to shortcut from here to all data either. Users are encouraged instead to navigate to the science teams home sites that we summarize below. Frequently, science teams post news on algorithms developments that are very important but that Users may otherwise miss if we shortcut from here. The home sites below have obvious links to all relevant data publicly available.
Links to satellite missions (platforms), in the order they cross the Equator
(see simple visual with very approximate crossing times)
Aqua platform |
| Project home page |
The gateway to Aqua instruments: AIRS, AMSR-E, CERES, and MODIS. Note that AIRS has partner instruments on the same platform: AMSU-A and HSB. Here Users will find the fundamentals of instruments characteristics. |
| MODIS |
Home page to the MODIS instrument science team at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) |
| AIRS |
Home page to the AIRS instrument science team at the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) |
| CERES |
Home page to the CERES instrument science team at the NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC). |
| AMSR-E |
Home page to the AMSRE-E instrument science team at the NASA Marshal Space Flight Center (MSFC) |
CloudSat |
| Project home page |
Overview of the mission and the instrument from the Colorado State University. |
| Data Processing Center |
The processing and distribution center at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere, Colorado State University. Valuable information on instrument status , two-line elements (TLE), and an important start-up reading - the Users Manual. |
CALIPSO platform |
| Project home page |
LaRC home to CALIPSO mission which is joint with Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales, France (CNES). |
| CALIOP |
Cloud Aerosol Lidar with Orthogonal Polarization instrument - Mission, instrument and algorithms overview, from LaRC. |
| Data Introduction |
Short Preliminary description of products |
| Data Sets Details |
This page from LaRC is a nice gateway to currently released data descriptions, quallity statements, tools, data search and order, and other relevant links. Some quality statements contain important information on data structuring in the HDF files. |
Parasol |
| Project home page |
Home to PARASOL mission, from CNES, France. |
| POLDER |
Description of the payload , summary of similarities and differences with the POLDER on ADEOS. |
Aura platform |
| Project home page |
The gateway to Aura instruments: HIRDLS, MLS, OMI and TES. |
