Do I need to register to become a new user?

At the GES DAAC Search and Order interface, data search can be done without being registered user. However, one must register before placng an order of any data product. A "New User Registration" button can be found at the top of the web pages while one is navigating the interface. If you are seeking most recent data, you have the option to directly download from the EOS Core System (ECS) Datapool. In this case, no user registration is required.

When using the EOS Data Gateway (EDG), one can search and order products as either guest or registered user.
