The Open Source
Project for a Network Data Access Protocol (OPeNDAP) will direct you to the locations where OPeNDAP
enabled data are stored. Currently these data sets are available at the Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC) via the OPeNDAP server.
Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) Data Products (Collection 3)
Global coverage from visible, infrared, and microwave sensors that provide measurements for temperature at an accuracy of 1°C in layers 1 km thick and humidity with an accuracy of 20% in layers 2 km thick in the troposphere will be obtained twice daily (day and night) on a 1:30pm sun synchronous orbit from a 705-km altitude. |
Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) Gridded Data (GrADS Data Server)
The Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) is
generating a series of land surface state and flux products
simulated by four land surface models (CLM, Mosaic, Noah and VIC). Current products include a set of 1.0 degree resolution data products from the
four models (1979 to present) and a 0.25 degree data product from the Noah
model (2000 to present). |

Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) Daily Gridded Data
Global total column ozone levels. The data were acquired from instruments aboard the NIMBUS-7, Meteor-3, ADEOS, and EP-TOMS satellites.Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) Daily Gridded Data |
Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) Gridded Rainfall Data
TRMM is dedicated to measuring tropical and subtropical rainfall through microwave and visible infrared sensors, and includes the first space borne rain radar. The TRMM orbit is circular, non-sun-synchronous, at an altitude of 350 km and an inclination of 35 degrees to the Equator, providing extensive coverage in the tropics. |
